Avebury House is a grand Victorian mansion built in 1871, set in beautiful park and gardens, tucked away in the middle of Christchurch City.

We are delighted that you are considering Avebury as the venue for your wedding, and welcome you to join the lucky few who have married at this heritage site since 2002.

Wedding Package:

  • ​Full day from 9:00am to midnight, including setting up and packing down times
  • Exclusive use of the house, including the kitchen
  • 7 long trestle tables (75.5 x 240cm) seats about 8 each
  • 40 indoor chairs
  • 60 x crockery/cutlery/coffee cups/glasses
  • Room sizes: Flesher Room - 4.8m x 7m – maximum 30 people seated
  • Room sizes: Gordon Prince Room - 4.8m x 8.7m – maximum 35 people seated
  • Wedding arch
  • Ample off-street parking
  • Cleaning services
  • BYOB but no liquor can be sold on premises
  • No in-house caterer
  • You must provide your own table cloths, wine glasses and flowers
  • We do have some decorations, including candle holders and vases
  • Use of the front lawn for photographs

Total cost for 50 guests: $1300 (this includes a $300 refundable bond)

If you have more than 50 guests, we can make arrangements.

Access to the house a day before to set up is on a case to case basis. Please call for arrangements.
